WOW! So I had a rough idea that I had shot around 100 cake smash photoshoot's and I was right, Emmy was my 100th cake smash session. This just shows you how popular they are!
I always enjoy when clients return for a follow up session, and this little one had previously been for a Christmas photoshoot when she was 5 months old. Emmy got stuck into her cake straight away and was bashing it with her spoon -which can sometimes take a while for babies to do at their cake smash portraits. Having my clients come for a 2nd or 3rd time means their children have already met me and tend to feel comfortable after a few minutes in my studio environment.
Emmy's mummy is just super lovely and always gives me so many compliments about my work that I would love her to come every day :) I'm in love with this gallery and you can see that little Emmy really enjoyed herself, she even got excited when we put her party hat on! If you don't like the look of mess or your little one is not that confident, I would recommend a portrait session which we can do with balloons, or even some toys and bubbles! My cake smash sessions are really relaxed, and I don't like to force your little one to do anything they don't want to. It tends to be a case of leaving them with the cake and giving them any encouragement if they need it. I have a small bath tub that you can use to wash your little one after their session if you would like, if not wipes can do the trick and a bath back at home!
